I was able to play through a chromatic scale to verify that it works. Having said that, I must confess that I don't play well enough to know the difference between a good picc and a great picc. All I did was treat the pads and give it a little cleaning, and it was ready to go. This one came to us in great shape and required very little work. All metal body of course, and it comes with a plastic case in good condition with blue lining and good latches. It's a great little picc overall, and would make an excellent instrument for someone playing flute and looking to start playing piccolo. It doesn't appear to have ever been damaged. The keys are all straight and have very light marks from use. The body is excellent with no dents, only a few very light scuff marks. Anyway.this one is in very good to excellent condition. The only Armstrong piccolo I'm familiar with is the 204. I wasn't able to make out any other numbers on it.
